Have you noticed how "infant" footwear doesn't quite fit an infant?
Commercial shoes are always made awkwardly huge and uncomfortable for those first few months of life. It takes a while for our bitty babe's to add cushion in their feet to fill into that shoe that is "supposed" to fit. Meanwhile, as we wait for some signs of chubbiness, we reach for the ever dependable socks. You know the look... dreamy baby, adorable outfit aaaaaand socks. Hmm.
